The summer 2014 concert schedule in Toronto is promising this year and it looks like there is going to be quite a bit to be excited about. While there is no reason to limit yourself to check out only the shows in this list, here are 5 upcoming Toronto concerts that you will not want to miss. The concerts below have been listed by the order that they will be performed.

5. Foster the People - May 13, 2014 at 8:00PM

Foster the People was formed in Los Angeles back in 2009. Their first major success came after their song Pumped Up Kicks became a viral sensation in 2010, which earned them a record deal from Startime International. Since then, the group built their fanbase by playing small club shows and making appearances at music festivals. Pumped Up Kicks has reached number one on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart and number three on both their Rock Songs chart and Hot 100. It has also had three Grammy Nominations. Other popular songs by the group include Don't Stop, Houdini and Helena Beast.

The Band features Mark Foster as vocals, keyboard, synth, guitar, programming and percussion. Cubbie Fink and bass and backing vocals and Mark Pontius as drums and percussion. They will be releasing their new album called Supermodel on March 18.

4. Lindsey Stirling - June 14, 2014 at 7:00PM

Lindsey Stirling has a unique take on the violin and turns the instrument and her songs into masterpieces that mix together genres such as techno, dubstep and rock with an orchestrated feel. Her original televised appearance took place on America's Got Talent back in 2010 where she was voted off of the show. Not one to be pushed down, Stirling kept moving forward and has quickly risen to become one of the best violinists in North America.

Her songs include a mix of original pieces as well as covers of songs such as Radioactive and Phantom of the Opera. Her performance incorporates both impressive music and dance, which promises that you will be in for a concert that is quite unlike anything you have ever seen before.

3. Beck - June 27, 2014 at 8:00PM

Rising to fame in the early 1990s, Beck Hansen who is simply known by his stage name as Beck, is an American musician. Through his songs he includes styles such as rock, alternative rock, hip hop, folk, funk, soul and even some country. His first worldwide hit was the song Loser, which happened in 1994. Since then he has been widely hailed by critics as one of the most creative musicians of the 1990s and 2000s alternative rock. In fact, both his albums Odelay and Sea Charge are ranked on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. As a piece of trivia, Beck has been involved with Scientology for most of his life.

2. Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden - July 27, 2014 at 7:00PM

If there is any good reason why you should be excited about these 5 upcoming Toronto concerts this summer 2014, then it might just be because you get to see both Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden on the same night. With superstar musicians such as Nine Inch Nail's Trent Reznor and Soundgarden's Chris Cornell taking the stage back-to-back, you know that you are going to be in for more than just a good show.

Since making their introduction in 1988, Nine Inch Nails has gone on to release nine different albums, with Hesitation Marks being the latest release back in 2013. They have also been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards. Soundgarden topped the charts with their 1994 album called Superunknown, which included both the songs Black Hole Sun and Spoonman. Their latest album release was King Animal back in 2012.

1. Linkin Park - August 24, 2014 at 6:30PM

Linkin Park formed in 1996 and received international fame almost immediately with their album, Hybrid Theory being released in 2000 and then becoming Diamond certified by the RIAA in 2005. Since then, they have released four additional albums and with Hunting Party set for release on June 14, that number will be moved up to five. It will also be the first time that the band has self-produced an album and will feature one of their newest hits, Guilty All the Same.

Besides making great music on their own, they have also collaborated with various artists such as Jay-Z for their Collision Course album and more for Reanimation and Recharged. Linkin Park has won two Grammy Awards and sold over 60 million albums across the world. There are plenty of great reasons to be excited about seeing them play live in their Toronto concert in this summer 2014 season.
